Sunshine is an open platform. Here is what people have built on top of it, and where to start if you want to add your own.
Bring your scooter into Home Assistant and automate it alongside everything else in your home.
- GPS location as a device tracker

An Android app that relays navigation destinations to the scooter's dashboard through Sunshine, so you can share a place from any maps app.

- Sets and clears the scooter's current destination
- Works from anywhere the scooter is online
The Librescoot web dashboard that runs on the scooter itself has a Cloud page that registers the vehicle with your Sunshine account.
- Bootstrap-token sign-in with your Sunshine account
- Configures radio-gaga and the uplink service
- Shows VIN, IMEI, and board serial numbers
These projects come from the community and the Librescoot ecosystem. They are maintained by their authors, not by Sunshine.
Build your own
Sunshine exposes what its own clients use, so a project can be a few HTTP calls or a full app.
REST API
A JSON API for telemetry, trips, locations, and commands, authenticated with a bearer token.
OAuth
Let other people sign in to your app and act on their own scooters, with per-scope tokens.
MCP server
A Model Context Protocol endpoint, so AI assistants can read scooter state and run commands.
